Hello Win Column, Win #1: Rangers Win Opening Day, 9-1

Before I get started, I just want to say that this is not going to be a game recap. Instead, we are going to try out a new feature here at HWC for every Rangers win: covering the blogs of the losing team. This is something I started doing last year after victories, and it was entertaining to read things like this: "Well, that game was forgettable. Shut down by the immortal Luis Mendoza for seven innings." Hopefully you get the idea. And now to hear from the losing locker room:

Game One: Oh, Hamburgers from Lets Go Tribe

"The Indians have produced two Cy Young winners in a row; pride of the organization. And now, two years in a row, our reigning Cy Young has totally soiled the sheets on Opening Day."

Sigh, Not Cy from The Cleveland Sun Times

"Lee allowed seven run on 10 hits in five innings Monday . . . . Last year Lee didn't allow his seventh earned run until the season was over 1 1/2 months old."

Cliff Lee Bullied in Season Opener from Deep Left Field

"Cliff Lee got pounded in Texas on opening day. We can still root for 161-1, can’t we?"

Hope you liked the first of many of these posts. Every Rangers victory will be marked with a "Hello Win Column" title and a subsequent review of the opponent's fan sites. Go Rangers!
